She made the Ladies Corner a place of devotion, concentration of mind and soul, comfortable, peaceful as well as relaxing. The Sunni Razvi Society does not possess the rich luxuries and the best modern comforts but is has a greater wealth, the spiritual comfort and peace. The hall of the Ladies Corner is filled to capacity on Fridays and on special occasions like Miraj Shareef, Shab-e-Baraat, Lailatul Qadr, Eid-Milad-un-Nabi and other auspicious occasions. Woman from all parts of the island come and listen to Bhabhi. Her religious expose, the naat shareef which she herself writes and recites, her advice, her munajaat, her marsiya to cite one "karbal mein jaane waale, karbal mein aagaye hein" are unforgettable. The audiences always remain spellbound with tears in their eyes when she reads salaam, and make doahs. But she also makes the environment very relaxing through her occasional jokes. This wonderful quality of her has inspired many local women to have a greater love for Islam, which is peaceful and beautiful in all its ways.
In the past the Ladies Corner had its own educational programs for adults and children. Keeping in mind the importance of education and the first Quranic revelation "Iqra" (Read), Bhabhi committed herself to this noble task of imparting knowledge to the Muslim ladies, not only during weekdays, but weekends as well. Thanks to her philanthropic work, many of her students are teaching Urdu in Primary schools as well as Secondary Colleges. Others are at the service of our religion though organizations or by translating Urdu religious speeches into English, French or Creole, so that the knowledge is spread to the masses. She has never failed in advising and counseling the sisters and has helped them regarding Islamic etiquettes, growth and identity. As she is well versed in both writing and reading, she always conveys he message with arguments and examples from the sacred Quran, hadith and history. Whenever a question is asked, she replies with a scholarly analysis of the question. When opportunity occurs, she alleviates the sufferings of others through doahs, and thus has never hesitated to use her great knowledge for the cause of helping others.
Despite the fact that neither Hazrat Maulana Ayub Razvi Qadir (before his demise) nor herself enjoyed good health, she still found courage and strength to share a precious time to go throughout every nook and corner of the island to propagate the true teachings of Islam, without forgetting her conjugal obligations and her family. And since Islam first begins at home, she has first trained her children in proper religious activities and education. One of her sons is a Hafiz-e-Quran and both daughters Sheila and daughter-in-law Raffia are excellent in reciting naat shareef and do offer their services during the Ladies functions organized by other social organizations. Moreover, Bhabhi has trained some of her students in conducting Mehfils, to cite a few: Fazila Cheeroo, Afiza Auladin, Husna Goonoo, Sarah Jinally, among others.
Begum Ayub Razvi has indeed shown her mettle in many fields. She possesses many remarkable qualities, which a true devout Muslim woman should have. She is multi-dimensional, a devoted wife, an affectionate mother, a talented teacher, a good counselor, a great writer, a passionate Naat composer, an entertainer, a sincere friend, and eloquent orator, a kind hearted person, a hospitable and courageous woman with a heart of gold.
It is the duty of all educated and learned Muslim woman like Begum Ayub Razvi, to direct and educate our sisters to recognize the importance of their presence in this world. Jjust as Bhabhi is a ray of hope and a rainbow for many, may Almighty Allah bestow other such infinite rays of hope on other woman of Islam. Many other great women have also followed the Way of Love and Truth.
